FREE CPR Certification Training for Youth
CPR Saturday – Learn to Save a Life. The American Red Cross is offering free CPR training for teens and young adults, ages 13-24 on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Cardinal Dougherty High School. CPR Saturday is an annual event that is done in honor of Andrew J. Balitzky, a 23 year-old Cardinal Dougherty Alumnus. Andrew collapsed and died while playing ice hockey. No one present that night knew CPR.
The location for CPR Saturday is Cardinal Dougherty High School, 6301 N. 2nd Street (Second Street above Godfrey Avenue) Registration begins at 8:30 am and the training starts at 9:00 am. Space is limited so interested participants should call 1-800-42-CROSS to register or for additional details. Youth groups and individuals are encouraged to participate in this event.
