FREE FALL SCIENCE COURSES OFFERED BY THE WAGNER FREE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE
The Wagner Free Institute of Science announces its free science courses for Fall 2004. The courses run from six to nine weeks, and each lecture lasts approximately one and a half hours. The courses are taught on an introductory college level and are appropriate for adults wishing to enrich their knowledge of the sciences, as well as for motivated junior and senior high school students. Lectures may be attended individually or as an entire series.

This course will be held at the Independence Branch of the Free Library, located at 18 S. 7th Street (7th and Market Streets), Philadelphia.
LECTURES BEGIN AT 6:30 P.M.
In this course, we will identify the trees that grow in Philadelphia and discuss their value in the urban landscape. There will be four classroom meetings and three field trips on Saturday mornings. Field trip arrangements will be provided at the class. Project: Pick a tree and determine where you think it grows best and what its impact is on our urban environment.
