Free Citizenship Class at District 1199C: Enroll Now for March 2017
Registration is open now for a *FREE intensive Citizenship class starting March 6 at District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund’s convenient Center City – Philadelphia location (one block from City Hall). This program is supported by the USCIS Citizenship and Integration Grant Program.
*$25 Textbook purchase required
Eligible students must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have basic English skills
- Have had a Green/Permanent Resident Card for 5 years (or 3 years through marriage)
- Live in Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, Bucks, or Chester Counties
- Have a clean criminal record
This program will provide intensive instruction of the civics and citizenship materials required to pass the naturalization test. Students will be led through mock interviews with USCIS officers. Legal experts will complete application forms, review possible issues, and escort applicants to interviews if necessary. Tutors will be available to support students one-on-one.
Schedule: 9:30am-12:00pm
Wednesday, February 22: Mandatory Information and Screening Session
Monday, February 27: English Assessment test
Monday, March 6: Class begins
Class schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30am-12:00, March 6 – May 5
