Free Books from Philadelphia Reads
Posted by on June 20, 2003
"FREE BOOKS – PHILADELPHIA READS, among its many activities, collects and re-distributes new and gently used reading books for children. These are available to schools, bonafide child care agencies, community-based organizations and communities of faith who conduct literacy programs for children. There is no cost for these books except parking while you pick them up. Call PHILADELPHIA READS – 215-686-4450 for an appointment to select books appropriate to your agency.
IMPORTANT – Often, PHILADELPHIA READS receives paperback and hardback books suitable only for adults- both fiction and non-fiction – as part of these donations. These are also available free of charge to community agencies conducting literacy programs for adults. They are not available to agencies planning re-sale. Call PHILADELPHIA READS – 215-686-4450 for more information. "
