Fourteenth Annual ‘Daisies for Justice’ Party Celebrates Work of Center for Responsible Funding

Philadelphia, PA: Daisies for Justice, the Center for Responsible Funding’s 14th annual fundraising party, will bring together grassroots activists and colleagues from the social justice community to socialize and enjoy an evening of Latin Jazz with the Elio Villafranca Trio. All are invited to come out and enjoy an evening of savory hors d’oeuvres, wine and desserts (partially donated by the White Dog Caf?), and to participate in the evening’s festivities, including a silent auction. The party will take place on Thursday, May 2nd, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the William Way LGBT Community Center at 13th and Spruce Streets in Philadelphia.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Center for Responsible Funding (CRF). The mission of CRF is to expand the funding base of social and economic justice organizations. CRF accomplishes this by:
-through The Academy of Fundraising Training
-Promoting work-site combined charity campaigns, which allow umbrella organizations of all sizes to solicit in the workplace on an equal basis; CRF manages the City of Philadelphia Employees’ Combined Campaign, one of the most successful municipal campaigns in the country
-Networking on common problems; organizing for the Let America Speak Coalition
