Forum for Youth Investment Audio Conference Series

Posted by on February 28, 2004

In an exciting endeavor to explore critical issues within the after-school context, the Forum for Youth Investment announces the kickoff of a nationwide audio conference series.

The first of this series will focus on how young people spend their time out-of-of school, and will explore what research says about time use and program participation. This event will address such questions as: How is policy evolving in relation to program attendance and reach? Who participates in after-school programs and how often? Where does program participation fit into the larger landscape of young people’s free time? Participants will examine these issues with nationally recognized leaders who will help frame and facilitate the discussion, including Karen Pittman the executive director of the Forum for Youth Investment, and Robert Granger, president of the William T. Grant Foundation.

The first conference will be March 19, 2004, 3-4 PM, EST.

*This opportunity is open and free to the public, however, space is limited.* To register online for the Out-of-School Time Audio Conference, visit: http://www.directeventreg.com/registration/event/4803041. Or call (toll free) 888.869.1189 or 706.643.5902.
