Performance seeks to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s
MEE and the African American Network Against Alzheimer’s are sponsoring a free showing of the award-winning play Forget Me Not at the Freedom Theater.
Written by Garrett Davis, the goal of the play is to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, especially in the African-American community. The play shows just how far-reaching a disease like Alzheimer’s can be, affecting not just the immediate family, but also friends and those in the community.
The performance will take place on Saturday, September 27th at 2pm at the Freedom Theater, 1346 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia.
Free tickets must be reserved in advance by going here or calling 215-796-9141.
