FOR THE SAKE OF ALL
Improving the health & well-being of African Americans in St. Louis and why it matters for everyone
Two St. Louis communities—9 miles between them yet worlds apart.
A child born in Clayton can expect to live 18 years longer than a child born in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood in North St. Louis.
What could you do with 18 years?
Our mission is to improve the health of all people by eliminating racial inequities that stifle our region’s growth. The research we have conducted on health disparities affecting African Americans identifies key areas where we can have the greatest impact: economic opportunity, early childhood education, school-based health, quality neighborhoods, and health care access. This is a pivotal time in our region’s history. We are responding to these challenges by mobilizing our community to take action – and you can too. Learn more.
