Food System Grant Proposals, The Reinvestment Fund
Posted by on March 25, 2013
The Reinvestment Fund is announcing a new grant program for food related organizations for grants and recoverable grants to support innovative solutions to further develop our regional food system around Philadelphia. Grants of up to $50,000 and recoverable grants up to $75,000 will be awarded to organizations and businesses for predevelopment and growth activities for projects that will strengthen and diversify our regional food system by increasing processing and distribution channels for local supply.
The goals of this program are to assist food-related businesses and organizations which undertake programs and projects that will build up the regional food system around the greater Philadelphia region. This includes opportunities that increase area residents’ access to healthy food choices; create and preserve quality local food system related jobs; and to foster an environment that supports the development of local food businesses and the regional farms from which they source their goods. Proposals will be accepted in one round with a submission deadline of 5pm on Tuesday April 9, 2013.
We are very excited to kick off this program and ask you to respond to the RFP and/or circulate it others who should respond.
If you have any questions, please send them to [email protected].
