Food Policy From Neighborhood to Nation – REGISTER NOW!
Portland, Oregon, May 19 – 21, 2011
Registration is now open for the Community Food Security Coalition’s conference on food policy in Portland, Oregon from May 19-21, 2011. Attendees will connect with elected officials, government staff, academics, and advocates for three days of peer-to-peer learning and skills building. Major goals of the conference include fostering information exchange among local elected officials, public sector staff and advocates, catalyzing a network to increase future food policy communication and coordination, further legitimize the emerging field of local food policy among existing policymaker associations, and identify local policies that could be adapted to the federal level to reach a broader base, either through the 2012 Farm Bill or other non-agricultural legislation. Conference details and registration information are available at http://foodpolicyconference.org. The early registration deadline is March 25; to register now at this reduced rate click here.
