First-Generation Student Interschool Compact

Posted by Ed Mobilizer on March 12, 2018

In this compiled document, which I call the First-Generation Student Interschool Compact, you will find all the information from 1vyG. First, there are the names and emails of all the administrator attendees of the conference.
Please continue to connect and talk with one another to allow for further collaboration. You will also find the notes from all the discussion groups for you to learn about challenges and successes related to each topic. While it is
by no means an exhaustive list, these issues have all been voiced by first generation students as areas in which we would like improvements. Finally, you will find the chart of resources each institution has. Please use that chart
to find schools that are implementing resources you too would like to see at your institution and reach out to their administrators. The hopes are that with every new 1vyG we will see more and more checks on the chart.

I hope this 1vyG weekend was just the start of conversations, one which we will continue not just at 1vyGs but during the year between them. The support from administrators and the partnerships between administrators and students are the foundations of future institutional success. I am confident that by working together for the success of current and future first-generation students, we can realize the 2020 short term goals and 2025 long term goals proposed. It has been a pleasure for us to serve you all, and we hope to see you soon with a wealth of new and improved resources on each of our campuses!
