OFN invites CDFIs to apply to participate in the CDFI Fund’s Capacity Building Initiative for Financing Healthy Food Options
Mid-Tier Food Chain Enterprises workshop in Los Angeles, February 27-28, 2012.
Applications for the workshop are now open. The focus of the training will be successfully financing food related “supply-chain businesses,” such as food processing, food aggregation and distribution, and waste management. The workshop will help provide training related to developing a healthy food hub in your target community including: key business characteristics; opportunities and risks in lending; loan underwriting; leveraging resources and developing partnerships; panel discussion with local experts; data-driven program design; accessing financial resources; and planning next steps for training participants.
