Financing Community Health Centers Capacity Building Initiative

Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) invites certified CDFIs interested in financing community health centers (CHCs) to apply for the Financing Community Health Centers Capacity Building Initiative training sessions

Financing Community Health Centers will offer six, free two-day trainings starting in January 2014 for certified CDFIs to launch or expand their lending to Community Health Centers (CHCs). Each training workshop will provide the same content focused on:

  • Trends in health care and the role of CHCs
  • Defining the CHC landscape and CHC operational structures
  • Credit needs of CHCs and sources of capital
  • Underwriting CHCs

Interested CDFIs can apply for the trainings that will be held in the following locations:

  • January 23-24: San Francisco, CA
  • February 12-13: Baltimore, MD
  • March 5-6: Atlanta, GA
  • May 1-2: Boston, MA
  • May 21-22: Chicago, IL

The date for the Portland, OR workshop will be announced soon.

Application deadlines are five weeks prior to the training. Monday, December 16th is the priority deadline to apply for the first training in San Francisco, CA held January 23-24.

The trainings will provide a foundation for CDFIs to access up to 40 hours of free one-to-one technical assistance from our roster of industry experts, as well as to participate in affinity groups that will be organized based on topics.
