The Center for Hunger-Free Communities at Drexel University is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
Financial Empowerment Coach
The Center seeks a Financial Empowerment Coach to facilitate both financial education and trauma-informed peer support groups on a weekly basis within the Building Wealth and Health Network study (The Network). The Financial Empowerment Coach will lead weekly discussions based on The Network’s financial empowerment curriculum that focuses on financial skills and capabilities, access to banking, credit and debt management, and asset-building. In addition, the Financial Empowerment Coach will co-facilitate weekly peer support groups based on the Sanctuary Model’s S.E.L.F (Safety, Emotion, Loss, ad Future) curriculum.
The primary responsibilities of the role include: weekly group facilitation and instruction, post-group surveys, data entry and recordkeeping, and referring participants to the study’s social worker for services as needed. The Financial Empowerment Coach will report to the Project Coordinator of The Network.
