PathWays PA is seeking a BS/BA level Financial Educator to promote economic well-being in low-income families. Candidates will have demonstrated ability and preferably previous experience in providing financial education and advocacy for low-income individuals and families; familiarity with the systems and benefits available to aid low-income individuals and families including TANF, work supports, SNAP, etc.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Providing financial education workshops and individual financial counseling to help individuals/families realize the goals of financial stability to keep families together and children safe. Assisting in planning paths to self-sufficiency, ensuring practical knowledge of all options available for employment, education, or training. Helping low-income individuals understand credit and tools and strategies for managing and building assets and through tax preparation.
Bilingual a plus, 4-year degree required — no exceptions. Position is based in Philadelphia, but will require some travel and work in Delaware County.
