CFSI Launches New Resource for Nonprofits
CFSI is pleased to announce the launch of the Financial Capability Institute (FCI) website, http://www.financial-capability.org.
What is FCI?
FCI is an interactive web tool designed to help nonprofits successfully integrate high-quality financial products into their service offerings, in partnership with financial services providers. Using FCI’s tools, practical guidance, best practices, and useful tips, nonprofits will learn how financial product distribution can help them achieve measurable behavior change and how to implement successfully.
As the leading authority on financial services for the underserved, CFSI developed this online toolkit to help nonprofit organizations better serve the financial needs of their clients and improve client impacts. The end goal is to see these nonprofit organizations leverage their relationships to deliver high-quality financial products to their clients. Some exciting features include:
Nonprofit Self-Assessment to gauge organizational readiness and capacity, followed by customized feedback and actionable resources
In-depth case studies of two prominent nonprofits that are successfully distributing financial products
Financial capability tutorial and video
Information for funders and financial services providers interested in creative ways to improve financial services to the underserved
After taking the Self-Assessment, users will get access to even more tailored resources to help nonprofits:
Improve organizational capacity and assess mission alignment
Learn about financially underserved consumers and market research best practices
Understand the landscape of financial services providers, and how to establish and maintain strong partnerships
What Now?
Visit http://www.financial-capability.org to take the Self-Assessment, explore the tools. Share this resource with your network and let us know what you think.
Development for this site was made possible thanks to a generous grant by the Citi Foundation.
