Finance Manager/Budget Analyst, University City District

Position reports to Executive Director and works in concert with part-time, contracted CPA.

Successful candidate will oversee and implement financial management systems and budget reporting functions for expanding nonprofit organization. The responsibilities of this position will grow with the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage A/P, A/R and payroll;
  • Prepare and post all journal entries;
  • Deliver budget-to-actual expenditure reports as requested to Executive Director, program Directors and major funders;
  • Serve as day-to-day financial partner and analyst to leadership team, providing guidance on budget and expenditures to support programmatic growth and innovation;
  • Partner with Development Director to manage mechanisms for reporting internally and externally on multiple grant-funded projects;
  • Partner with Executive Director to develop budgets and financial forecasts, and to assess cash position;
  • Provide guidance and early warning to leadership team on budget and financial management issues, including grant compliance and requirements;
  • Work with part-time CPA to support: preparation of monthly and year-end statements, reconciliation of bank statements to general ledger and preparation for annual external audit;
