Our mission is to promote the growth and economic expansion of diverse communities through the infusion of capital and the provision of business and homeownership consultation services. Since 1996 FINANTA has successfully loaned nearly $35 million to over 550 customers, contributing to creating and retaining over 1,200 jobs. Our loans have ranged in size from $400 to $3.3 million and have funded businesses in a wide-range of industries, from neighborhood mini markets to nation-wide solar energy providers.

JOB SUMMARY

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Finance and Accounting Assistant to provide professional and confidential bookkeeping and payroll support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in accordance with GAAP, State, and Federal regulations, and the policies and procedures of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

–             Preparing and analyzing data.

–             Present numerical data effectively

–             Read and interpret information competently

–             Follow internal policies and procedures

–             Completes accounting tasks correctly and on time

–             Follows instructions, responds to direction

–             Abide by confidentiality requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

–             Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

–             At least one (1) year accounting experience

–             High proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel at a minimum) and Peachtree or equivalent accounting software; knowledge of The Exceptional Assistant (TEA) loan servicing software
