Free filmmaking seminar and workshop for children and adults at the Free Library Of Philadelphia.
Ever want to direct or be in a movie? Then you must save the date and attend the FREE FILMMAKING SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP to be held at the West Oak Lane Branch of the Free Library Of Philadelphia, located at 2000 E. Washington Lane, on Wednesday, October 20, 2004. The children’s workshop will given from 4 to 6 p.m. and later that evening for Adults and Teens from 6 to 8 p.m.
Multi award winning feature film writer, producer, director and former top rated slow jams radio personality on 103.9 The Beat Tim Greene will be on hand to show you how you can turn your ideas into feature films. Tim will also cover what a director looks for in an actor. Also teaming up for the workshop will be The Ultimate Hip Hop Motion Picture Consortium, which is a venture, formed by Tim Greene and marketing guru and “The Cable Guide” creator Beryl Wolk to produce and distribute feature films worldwide. “Beryl and I always look for every opportunity to give back to the community”. To date Tim has given out over 35 computers with free Internet service to low-income families.
Also on hand will be CBS TV3/UPN 57 master control operator, feature film writer, producer, director, cinematographer and editor Crystal Gaines, Philly TV/Film writer Veronica Vance and Jamilla Mohamed, who got her start in the entertainment business by being an intern on The Montel Williams Show.
Those attending the free film workshop will have a chance to win a home computer system with free internet service, as well as a walk-on acting role in Tim Greene’s 4th feature film, which is a G-Rated children’s comedy. You will also have a change to win movie tickets, school supplies, haircuts and school uniforms courtesy of Kids Fashions, Rick Kennedy and Selectronics Computers, R and A Clothing, Philly Native Clothing, Icon Film Casting, Liberty Pharmacy, The 99 Cent Outlet, Just Us Hair Cuts, Bob’s Hair Gallery and Cory’s Hott One Entertainment. Everyone should bring a photo of himself or herself to give to Tim Greene for future casting consideration.
