Film Screening: Hip-Hop Beats and Rhymes

Posted by on January 15, 2007

HIP-HOP Beats and Rhymes takes an in-depth look at manhood in rap music and hip-hop culture – where creative genius, poetic beauty, and mad beats collide with misogyny, violence, and homophobia. This groundbreaking documentary is a “loving critique” of certain disturbing developments in rap music from the point of view of a fan who challenges the art form’s representations of masculinity.
