Documentary highlights Chester’s past
Boomtown: Stories from Chester, PA, a documentary compiled by Widener University graduate student, film director and producer Woodwyn Koons, is an accurate and heartwarming picture of Chester, as told by seniors who lived there most of their lives. It features shared memories of a long-ago bustling city where people had a sense of community and safety. People left their doors unlocked, stores and businesses were plentiful and neighborhoods were maintained with pride.
The Chester Senior Center is offering the film for showing at community organizations and also for purchase. For more information, call Jamee Nowell-Smith at 610-497-3550.
