Please join us for a screening of “Mrs. Goundo’s Daughter”
A new documentary by Barbara Attie and Janet Goldwater about one mother’s fight for asylum in the U.S. to protect her daughter from female genital mutilation.
Shot in Philadelphia and Mali, this one-hour film explores the complex cultural and health issues involved, as well as the intricacies and frustrations of the legal process to gain asylum.
