After winning awards at film festivals around the world, including best documentary, Life and Debt has just been made available for private showings. By combining traditional documentary telling with a stylized narrative framework, the complexity of international lending, structural adjustment policies and free trade will be understood in the context of the day-to-day realities of the people whose lives they impact. Life & Debt is primary aimed to inform U.S. citizens of the impact our policies have on our neighbors abroad. Discussion following the film will focus on supporting networks of strong local economies to thrive and providing healthy alternatives to the structural violence of the current global economy.
Optional dinner at 5:30pm, Free films begins at 6:30pm & are followed by discussion. Dinner, Bar & Grill & Dessert menus, as well as beverage service will be available before, during & after the films. Limited seating – please RSVP. (215) 386-9224
