Posted by Women’s Community Revitalization Project on November 13, 2018
December 1, 2018, 1pm-4pm
The Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street
Join the Women’s Community Revitalization Project and New Century Trust for a film screening of Ada for Mayor, a film that follows Ada Colau- an anti-eviction organizer- in the year leading up to her winning election campaign for Mayor of Barcelona.
It is an inspiring and honest look at her attempt to feminize politics and the challenges that come with running for office while holding true to her activist roots. (in Spanish with English subtitles).
After the film screening there will be a brief panel and group discussion about the May 2019 primary election in Philadelphia and opportunities for people to get involved.
Childcare available upon request (at time of registration)
