Don?t miss this extraordinary screening of five short films produced during the 2005 Temple Youth VOICES Summer Academy.

√ Youth from West Philadelphia will showcase their documentary focusing on the ways in which rap music both influences and reflects change in a wide variety of communities.

√ The ?Leadership Corp? of older VOICES youth will present an innovative narrative exploring the challenges involved in the pursuit of higher education.

√ Vare Beacon School youth have prepared an insightful investigation of the factors that distinguish life in area code 19145 from that in 19103.

√ Youth from North Central Philly explore the everyday struggles of living with violence and the implications of representation in their original drama.

√ COLOR TV, a youth media production company, present the first installment in their reality series focusing on life in the American Street Empowerment Zone.

The mission of The Temple Youth VOICES Project is to empower youth to use their voice for positive social change. We aim to build the individual and collective power of youth through collaborative research, education, and relationship building with community partners, non-profit organizations and government organizations.
