Transportation Funding Opportunity from Johnson Ohana Foundation:
The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation just announced a $25,000 contribution to kick-off a DonorsChoose.org crowdfunding opportunity to support field trips for 4th graders across the country. Their contribution supports President Obama’s Every Kid in a Park initiative that gives 4th graders a free pass for them and their families to explore America’s federal lands and waters for one full year.

Transportation Funding Opportunity from Outdoor Industry Foundation:
Grant funding opportunities are now available for 4th grade classes through an effort established by the Outdoor Foundation and the Outdoor Industry Association. If you work with 4th graders and are in need of funding to get them to federally managed lands and waters in 2016, you can visit https://www.crowdrise.com/everykidinapark where you can register your project. To encourage participation, the Outdoor Foundation will award $100 to the first 100 projects that populate the fundraising site. (Offer limited to one per school and the minimum fundraising goal must be $20. The Outdoor Foundation and the Outdoor Industry Association’s campaign goal is to raise $1 million and connect at least 100,000 kids with meaningful outdoor experiences to federal lands and waters.
