Honoring Artist Mary DeWitt
Local artist, Mary DeWitt began working with a group of life-sentenced women in Pennsylvania’s State Correctional Institution at Muncy in 1990. During her visits with these seven women serving life without parole DeWitt paints their portraits and records their thoughts.

I’m FREE uses innovative techniques, to provide trauma-informed and gender responsive services for women re-entering society and reconnecting with their families.
VISION
To create an innovative, interactive model using best practices and infusing therapeutic and holistic approaches to guide formerly incarcerated women to self-sustaining lifestyles. It is our intent for every woman to reconnect with society and her family, revitalize her sense of purpose, and renew her mind; thus, freeing herself from an institutionalized way of living.
