Fellowships in Ministry
Posted by on January 31, 2003
Within your sphere of influence, you may know a number of young people dealing with character issues from their identity as Christians. The Fund for Theological Education believes that many of these young people might hold the potential to become excellent ministers of Christian churches. We offer a unique opportunity for college students to explore ministry as a possible life’s work: The Fund for Theological Education Undergraduate Fellowship.
Seventy fellowships are awarded each year. Fellows receive a $1,500 stipend and they attend the four-day Summer Conference on Excellence in Ministry where they meet other young people from many different Christian denominations and participate in workshops about ministry and theological education. We invite you to make this opportunity known among your students.
The application deadline for 2003 fellowships is March 1, 2003. More information and applications are available on-line at http://www.thefund.org/programs/fellowships/undergrad/index.html. I am also happy to take questions from you or your students.
Best wishes for your continuing good work,
Melissa Wiginton
