Dodge Foundation Offers Teacher Fellowships for New Jersey Teachers in Camden County
Deadline: January 12, 2006 (Submissions made via post mail); January 17, 2006 (Submissions made online)
A program of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation (<a href="http://www.grdodge.org/">http://www.grdodge.org/</a>), the 2006 Dodge Foundation Teacher Fellowships will provide up to $115,000 in grants to full-time New Jersey teachers in public and public charter schools in Camden County, New Jersey. These funds are intended to support non-traditional, imaginative, professional development and personal and intellectual renewal endeavors that enable teachers to grow as leaders and better impact their schools and communities. The foundation is most interested in supporting life-expanding, rejuvenating projects that may even fulfill a lifetime dream in addition to proposals that will expand intellectual capacity and appreciation of diversity and culture.
Applications will be accepted from full-time K-12 teachers employed in New Jersey public and public charter schools in Camden County, New Jersey. Special consideration will be given to teams, cross-disciplinary collaborations, or those representing school- or district-wide collaborations and/or partnerships.
Awards to teachers will range between $2,000 and $7,500 for individuals, and between $5,000 and $10,000 for teams. Teams can consist of two or more teachers with one common proposal. Consideration will also be given to teams of one or more teachers with one or more teachers or administrators with one common proposal.
