Fellow, 12 PLUS (12+)

We’re expanding our Fellows Initiative and searching for additional Fellows! What do you hope to do in one year? What if you could inspire seniors to go to college, instill belief in underclassmen, and change the very culture of high schools throughout Philly, where only 10% of high school students will complete college? What if you could narrow the achievement gap and improve college access?

About 12+

12+ is an education nonprofit that aims to create college-going cultures in high schools throughout Philadelphia. Within our partner schools, we provide comprehensive college readiness and access support for all students in all grade levels.

About the Fellows Initiative:

Fellows are at the core of our organization and the frontline of our mission. Fellows are passionate, talented and team-oriented individuals, commissioned to create a culture of achievement within our PLUS Center, where they will execute college access and readiness programming and mentor and empower students to pursue educational pathways beyond the 12th grade.

Responsibilities:

Under the leadership of the Site Director, Fellows will implement school-wide 12+ programming, which includes RAISE (freshman transition / college readiness), Flight (college access), and PLUS Leaders (student leadership) programs. Each program includes a host of services such as workshops, mentorship, individual academic support, and special events. Fellows will also plan and execute culture-building events such as College Week and Career Day. Beyond mentoring and workshop sessions, Fellows are commissioned to build personal relationships with individual students to provide academic, social and emotional support needed to help them prepare for and succeed in postsecondary education.

– Willingness to learn and take initiative
– Leadership experience
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
– US Citizen or Permanent Resident
