Fattah Conference on Higher Education Pre-Conference Forum

Posted by on January 27, 2006

The Fattah Conference on Higher Education will convene its 20th Annual Pre-College Forum on Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel. This year, we would like to premiere a series of panel discussions entitled “What You Wanted to Know about College Processes and University Life, but Were Afraid to Ask.”

Six sessions will be held concurrently from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. and each will consist of a panel of 6 college information experts representing various organizations in the city of Philadelphia. The panelists should be committed to ensuring that our students graduate from high school and attend a college or university.

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions pertaining to college processes ranging from selecting a major to completing federal financial aid forms. A facilitator will be assigned to each workshop to maintain the content and fluidity of each session.

Approximately 800 Philadelphia high school students attend the conference annually. As a result, we strive to insure that the conference continues to provide substantive and relevant information. We would like for you to participate in this series of panel discussions.

If you would like to partake in two decades of serving Philadelphia’s high school students, please e-mail your name, organization’s name and contact information to sball@eaalliance.org no later than Friday, February 10, 2006. If you have any questions about the Pre-College Forum, please contact Sheronda Ball by calling (215) 472-2500.
