FAMILY WORKER FOR CHILDREN’S CENTER

The general duties are to assist parents in their efforts to improve the conditions and quality of family life. The family worker is expected to provide comprehensive services to families enrolled in the program, and monitor the provision of services. Services extended to families may include minimal counseling, referrals, educational and recreational programming, crisis intervention, and advocacy.
Qualifications
1. Bilingual in English and Spanish (A must).
2. Minimum of a high school diploma, with some college.
3. Minimum of one year experience working with children and families in an accredited health, mental health, educational or social service facility
4. Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
5. Familiarity with the Norris Square community and its service providers
6. Must be able to obtain criminal, child abuse and FBI clearance.
7. Health Assessment must be done.
Physical Demands:
1. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
2. Ability to climb steps.
3. Ability to perform site visit
