Family Guide to Keeping Youth Mentally Health & Drug Free
Posted by on July 15, 2005
The U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (SAMHSA) offers A Family Guide to Keeping Youth Mentally Healthy & Drug Free.
Welcome to this public education Web site, developed to support the efforts of parents and other caring adults to promote mental health and prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs among 7- to 18-year-olds.
Summer can be a risky time for teens. More teens try marijuana and cigarettes for the first time in June and July than any other time of the year. First-time use of alcohol by youth also increases during the summer months. Check out the Family Guide Web Site?s series on the increased risk of drug use during the summer months to help keep your child healthy all year long.
