The Family Friends Program Coordinator oversees the coordination and daily management of all aspects of the Family Friends program and Project NYCE as well as engage in direct services with families—including biological/adoptive parents, kinship caregivers and foster parents—who are raising children with special needs.
This is a grant-funded, full-time exempt position that operates during the fiscal year. Hours for this position are Mondays through Fridays from 9am – 6:00pm. However, evening hours/ weekends and other hours could be required based on the needs of the program.
This position is responsible for the recruitment and training of Program Mentors and Youth Caregivers who provide in-home/community family supports. The incumbent will match mentors with prospective families and conduct initial Mentor-Family Match Visits. The Family Friends Program Coordinator will work to coordinator all aspects of the program, including but not limited to participating in the management of program budget expenditures, all maintenance of participant case notes, and preparation for grant program audits. Perform other duties assigned.
