Maternity Care Coalition, a dynamic $8M nonprofit, works to improve maternal/child health and well being.
A Family Advocate is needed for our Early Head Start program to conduct home visiting with pregnant women and families with young children ages 0 – 3. Advocates provide health education, connect families to needed health care and other community resources as well as promote child development. The Family Advocate maintains relationships with identified clients and provides support via weekly home visits. Attends community meetings and trainings; organizes parent meetings; keeps accurate written records; uses organization database.
We seek motivated individuals, knowledgeable about community resources, with good computer skills. Ability to work well with people, good organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. High school diploma required. Position in Pottstown, PA. Individuals who are bi-lingual in Spanish/English are strongly encouraged to apply.
