NEW AMERICANS: Connecting with Non-English Speaking Families.
Support families of various language communities gain the skills to support children’s educational success.
FACT is designed to serve as the gateway to mobilize family engagement in schools by promoting families as schools’ allies in fostering students’ academic success and enhancing community partnerships to best serve students’ families.
By partnering with internal district departments, academic institutions, community organizations, and other agencies, FACT offers courses, workshops, and lectures designed to support and inspire parents and caregivers to become leaders and advocates for their child’s learning, resulting in greater school and community improvement. As confidence grows, parents and caregivers transfer their learning to the home and join their children in fostering habits of good health and lifelong learning.

Courses start January 3, 2018 and run through May 31, 2018!
All classes are held from 10:00am-12:00pm or 5:00pm-7:00pm (see our schedule for specifics).
How do I register?

We strongly encourage you to pre-register for courses so that you can secure a spot! By pre-registering, you will also be able to get a free meal before your course and request live interpretation if needed.
PLUS, if you register AND attend two or more workshops during the month, you will be entered into a raffle to win a special prize for you and your family!
