FALL 2025 Webinar Series: ARMED: STRATEGIES TO ADDRESS THE IMPACTS OF GUN VIOLENCE – Sep 11, Oct 2, Nov 13

Posted by Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine on September 2, 2025

Please join us for this free monthly webinar series, exploring opportunities to support those impacted by gun violence in the Philadelphia area.

Gun violence negatively impacts not only victims but also their families and surrounding communities. Resources and counseling services may be available to support families affected by gun violence, but they and their clinicians may not know about these resources or how to access them. This monthly educational series is designed for clinicians, psychologists, counselors, social workers, healthcare providers, community leaders, and gun safety advocates to recognize the mental health impacts of gun violence, develop trauma-informed communication strategies, and identify local resources in the greater Philadelphia area to help those impacted by gun violence.

Fall 2025 Series:

  • September 11, 12:00-1:00 PM, Impact of Gun Violence on Mental Health and Strategies for Communicating with Families
  • October 2, 12:00-1:00 PM, Trauma Informed Care (TIC) Approaches and Screening Tools
  • November 13, 12:00-1:00 PM, Bridges Not Barriers: Connecting Youth to Opportunity and Support
