Posted by Center for FaithJustice on March 20, 2017
Considering a year of service? Do you care about social justice? Does faith play a significant role in your life? Become a FaithJustice Fellow and pursue a volunteer year at the Center for FaithJustice!
As a FaithJustice Fellow, you have the unique opportunity to: serve, grow professionally, spiritually, and personally, live in community, and practice FaithJustice on a daily basis!
The FaithJustice Fellowship program welcomes applicants of any age, from new college graduates to adults looking for service opportunities or a possible career change. The program will run from September 2017 to June 2018. Fellows will receive housing, a monthly stipend, and health insurance, while serving at a partner organization in/around Trenton, New Jersey. Potential service hosts will likely involve: adults with disabilities, interfaith, and human service. Applicants must be comfortable with and open to learning the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching. Fellows are given spiritual direction throughout the year and are expected to live in intentional community during the entire program. If interested, FaithJustice Fellows are welcome to extend their service year, and complete the LeaderworX program from June to August 2018.
The application is now open! Please send a cover letter outlining your qualifications and motivations for applying, resume, 2 references, and any questions to [email protected]. A follow-up application will be sent. Deadline is March 24, and applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.
About the Center for FaithJustice: Based in Lawrenceville, NJ the Center for FaithJustice (CFJ) inspires the next generation of leaders by creating programs to serve those in need and educate for justice in the Catholic tradition. Named for the biblical passage that inspired them, Faith without works is dead (James 2:26), our WorX programs targeted at middle through college-age students unfold through mission retreats to impoverished areas. Over the years, our organization has hosted more than 4,000 young people whom have completed, collectively, more than 100,000 hours of community service. Our alumni have gone on to become impressive servant leaders in many diverse fields. The FaithJustice Fellowship Program was discontinued in 2012, but was re-started in fall 2016. We are eager to see this program grow, and excited for you to be a part of it!
