WALK FOR THE PARK
What could be better than a stroll through Fairmount Park on a beautiful Sunday morning?
Circle your calendars for Sunday, September 12, 2004, Fairmount Park’s First “Walk for the Park”.
Join us in this effort to raise both awareness and money for the park system in which we all take so much pride and pleasure. All funds raised will be used to support the programs and initiatives of the incredible Fairmount Park system Walkers will step-off from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, head down the magnificent Benjamin Franklin Parkway to JFK Plaza and then return to the Art Museum. The 2.5- mile walk promises to be a scenic one. The first 1,000 walkers will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Before and after the walk, there will be fun, food, and festivities for all ages at Eakins Oval.
We invite everyone to join with other park supporters and celebrate all that is Fairmount Park.
Attached is the registration brochure in a pdf file. We would appreciate if you can share this information with those on your electronic mailing list.
