Fair Trade Night
Posted by on December 6, 2002
Dear Friend of NCBI,
You have a great opportunity to support fair trade, diversity awareness, and resolution of conflict between groups while you shop at
NCBI’s Fair Trade Night,
Thurs. Dec. 19, 5-8PM
Ten Thousand Villages’ store,
1122 Walnut, Center City Philadelphia
Ten Thousand Villages always sells interesting handcrafts and agricultural products from low income countries. On Fair Trade Night, they will also donate proceeds from sales to the new chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) in Philadelphia.
NCBI is an international non-profit organization dedicated to resolving conflict between groups. NCBI does workshops that teach awareness of diversity and build skills for addressing conflicts. It also helps groups in conflict move towards resolution of their conflicts.
For more information about NCBI, come to Fair Trade Night, see http://www.ncbi.org or contact me.
Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit, self-supporting alternative trading organization. It provides vital fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. The handicrafts are made of materials from sustainable sources. Please share this information widely. Warmly, Lisa Santer, Director, NCBI Philadelphia Interim Chapter 215-922-0744
