Our first tour this season will be to Valley Shepherd Creamery, a sheep dairy farm that produces award-winning artisinal cheeses and yogurt.
Farmer and Cheesemaker Eran Wajswol will take us on a tour of the creamery to visit their ewes and lambs and see the cheese making facility. We willthen hike out to the artisinal cheese aging cave on their property where we’ll enjoy a fresh country picnic including Valley Shepherd cheeses, smoked turkey from Green Meadow Farm, Metropolitan Bakery bread, DiBruno Bros. olive oil, and fresh fruit from our own Fair Food Farmstand. We’ll then hike back to the creamery to watch the sheep get milked on the country’s only rotating sheep parlor.
