FAFSA Student Support Strategy

Posted by National College Attainment Network on May 14, 2024

The US Department of Education has announced a new program, administered by ECMC, entitled the FAFSA Student Support Strategy, to help school districts, states, nonprofit organizations, and other public and private organizations with efforts to boost 2024-25 FAFSA completion. Up to $50 million will be provided to support organizations with demonstrated experience expanding college access and enrollment. Those currently working with schools and districts and with, “deep ties to students and families” and the know-how and ability to increase FAFSA submissions will be prioritized.

If this describes your organization, we encourage you to apply for funding. Funds can be used to:

  • Expand the availability of FAFSA advisors, counselors, and coaches
  • Facilitate FAFSA submission clinics
  • Provide transportation support
  • Communicate with parents and students

To apply for funding, please email [email protected] expressing your interest. ECMC will then send you an application form.
