Expungement Training & Pro Bono Clinic for Attorneys – Apr 13
Posted by Rutgers Law School on March 7, 2023
Attention Attorneys! We need your help to assist individuals seeking to expunge their records so that they can get a better job or housing. No experience needed. Participants in the Expungement Training & Pro Bono Clinic have an opportunity to obtain free CLE and Madden credits in exchange for signing up for at least one 2 hr time slot to file expungement cases.
The Expungement Training session will be held by Zoom on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 5:00pm to 6:20pm. Participants in this training will learn to evaluate expungement petitions, navigate the new eCourts expungement system, and file petitions electronically. Participants are eligible to receive one and a half (1.5) hours of free CLE credits if they attend the training session AND after they are assigned a case.
The Expungement Event will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1865 Harrison Ave., Camden. NJ. To participate, all attorneys are required to sign up for at least one 2-hour time slot for the expungement clinic AND assist at least one pro bono expungement client.
Any volunteer time also counts towards Madden Hours, including the clinic hours.
