Posted by on March 11, 2013
Friday, April 12
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rutgers-Camden Campus Center
(Third Street on the Rutgers–Camden Campus)
The conference is free, but registration is required. Information and registration are available at http://www.camden.rutgers.edu/international-conference. Poster proposals are still being accepted and can be submitted through the registration site for the conference.
More about the conference:
Colleges and universities increasingly recognize the value of experiential learning abroad as ever-greater numbers of students participate in international service learning courses, internships, and community-based research projects. Such experiences are powerful learning opportunities that bring new challenges for faculty, program administrators, university leaders, and students.
This conference will explore the educational, ethical, and logistical questions presented by experiential learning across borders. Our goal is practical: to prepare participants to develop and execute high-quality experiential learning opportunities in the international context.
There is no cost to attend the conference. Registration is required. The conference is open to students, faculty, and staff interested in advancing the understanding of experiential learning abroad.
In addition to plenary sessions and panels, the conference will include a poster session. We invite proposals for posters — to be submitted through the registration form — from faculty, staff, and students who have participated in experiential learning abroad.
