Executive Director, West Mt. Airy Neighbors
West Mt. Airy Neighbors (WMAN), the community association for the West Mt. Airy neighborhood of northwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is searching for a new Executive Director.
The mission of WMAN is to serve as a community-based volunteer organization committed to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in its richly diverse urban neighborhood.
Responsibilities of the position include (although are not limited to) working with the Board to set the strategic direction of WMAN, engaging the community through volunteer participation, serving as the spokesperson for WMAN in the community, managing the annual operating budget and organizational finances, and ensuring the planning and execution of quality events in the community.
This is a part time position that requires attendance at community meetings and events on evenings and weekends. A B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience in community organizing, non-profit management, or related field is required.
