Description:
Reporting to the Board of Directors of Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse, Inc., the Executive Director will directly and indirectly manage staff, supporting committees, and volunteers. The Executive Director will be seen as the internal and external spokesperson, drawing a wide variety of audiences to Smith to enhance its visibility, its mission and the potential for raising funds to sustain and expand the programs that have made Smith a national model of kids play. The Executive Director must be prepared to lead Smith into its next phase of growth with a major capital campaign that funds and sustains the organization’s operations as well as complete the remaining, planned capital renovations. At the same time the Executive Director must be a hands-on leader responsible for Smith’s day-to-day operations.
