GHNPSS is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of seniors in the Harleysville and North Penn area. We operate two Senior Activity Centers (SAC). Our mission is to provide access to programs and services that help older adults live independently and remain active. The ideal candidate will build on our foundation of innovative programming for seniors while maintaining a work environment for staff members that encourages a team approach in delivering high quality services.

Position requires good public relations and people skills. Experience in grant writing, fund-raising and knowledge in non-profit business management required. Individual must be proficient in QuickBooks- including Payroll. Position requires a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel & data base software. Responsibilities include: working closely with Board of Directors to develop and implement policies; managing and working directly with staff on various activities, duties and functions; keeping abreast of current developments in the field of aging; sustaining an active presence in the community along with plant operations/maintenance for two sites. The successful candidate will also take a leadership position on the North Penn Commons construction team. Located on Main Street in Lansdale, North Penn Commons is a collaborative project involving the YMCA, Manna on Main Street, Advanced Living and the Peak Center. Upon completion in 2016, the newly constructed Peak Center will be located on the North Penn Commons campus.

Requirements and Qualifications:
1) Ability to supervise staff; manage people and relate well with seniors
2) Ability to make sound decisions. Plan, set goals, and organize multiple on-going activities
3) Ability to recruit and work with volunteers
4) Ability to network within the community, civic groups and/or local governments
5) Ability to organize fundraisers and speak in public
6) Must have Bachelor’s Degree.
7) Experience in health promotion, adult education, gerontology, marketing/public relations, financial management preferred.

This is a full time position. Salary and benefits to be commensurate with experience.
