Girls on the Run Philadelphia (GOTR) is a 501c3 organization established in 2012 as an independent council of Girls on the Run International. GOTR is a youth development program (for girls in grades 3rd – 5th grade) which combines training for a 5K with an interactive curriculum to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls.
GOTR’s Executive Director (ED) is a nonprofit professional that provides leadership, vision, and direction to the council, board members, and volunteers. The ED, in conjunction with the GOTR Board of Directors, represents the council to the public, leads organizational development and strategic planning, manages council finances, oversees program delivery in Philadelphia, builds donor relationships, manages fundraising efforts, and oversees personnel and volunteers. The ED reports to and works closely with the Board of Directors and Girls on the Run International, and is responsible for accomplishing the GOTR mission and strategic goals set forth by the board. This position is currently a part-time 20-hour per week position, with the intent to grow into a full-time position with adequate fundraising within the next 18 months.
