Executive Director of the Community Center at Visitation and the Visitation Community Outreach Foundation
The Executive Director is responsible for the effective planning, organization, direction and coordination of the Visitation Community Outreach Foundation and its primary responsibility- the Community Center at Visitation
Reports to: Pastor and Visitation Community Outreach Foundation Governing Board
Duties and Responsibilities:
Knows and articulates the mission and models the values of the Foundation in all his/her responsibilities and duties.
Oversees the development of the Visitation Community Outreach Foundation’s Non-Profit Status
Establishes and manages the annual budget and its finances for the community center and its programs
Develops programming for the community center based on the needs of its constituents
Oversees the maintenance and use of the facility
Continues the development of the Foundation’s Governing Board and Visitation Parish Advisory Board
Oversees the implementation of the Center’s Strategic Plan
Grows the number of community participants in the activities and classes offered
Creates and strengthens partnerships with community organizations and city leadership
Develops organizational and processing structures for the community center
Continues the development of an Advancement Program for the community center (grants, fundraising, appeals, etc.)
Manages, develops, and grows community center staff
Engages in community development projects with Visitation BVM and the Office of Community Development
Manages the contracts and rentals for all programming
Any other tasks needed for the success of the community center and its overarching Foundation
Professional Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Experience working and managing non-profit programming and/or organizational development
Managerial Experience
Creativity
Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and secure manner
Competency in Spanish is preferred
