Evoluer Personal Workshop For Teenage Girls
The Philadelphia Department of Recreation, in conjunction with Evoluer Image Consultants announces the summer session of its successful Evoluer Personal Development Workshop for Teenage Girls. This unique and exciting program has reached approximately 300 young ladies in the past two years.
The Evoluer Personal Development Workshop is a positive, reality-based learning experience designed to build self-esteem and ambition in teenage girls, ages 12 to 18 that live in Philadelphia. The program will kick off this summer at three Recreation Centers – Lawncrest Recreation Center, 6000 Rising Sun Avenue; Christy Recreation Center, 728 S. 55th Street; Francis J. Myers Recreation Center, 5800 Chester Avenue, and run from July 10, 2007 to August 30, 2007, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.
Evoluer Personal Development Workshop curriculum was designed specifically to connect with Philadelphia female teens of all ethnic groups. The program will attract and engage this hard-to-reach and under-served demographic in a positive educational experience. Program topics will focus on body image, reaching career and academic goals, etiquette and style.
The Evoluer Personal Development Workshop was conducted successfully over the past year at twelve other recreation facilities within the Philadelphia Department of Recreation. All twelve sites were filled to capacity.
